Welcome to The Shoulder of Mutton Grandborough
The shoulder of mutton is a traditional country pub set in the Warwickshire countryside. We offer a warm welcome, plus good food and drink in nice surroundings.
Although in a picturesque rural setting we are in fact only five miles from rugby and six miles from daventry, the nearest city is Coventry which is twelve miles away.
The pub enjoys being at the centre of the community by hosting three skittles teams, (two very successful) one ladies darts team and a cribbage team... Every Thursday we have a quiz night with a special menu available at a reduced rate for quizzers. Prizes are available and the booby prize of a box of chocolates is always well contested.
Sheila is a golf fanatic and I am sure there will be details here as her handicap improves!
Paul the landlord is a motorcycle enthusiast and over the last year has organised several bike meetings entitled “Two stroke Sunday”- Pics Here
Restaurant & Bar
Our traditional restaurant seats up to 38 diners and is open 12.00 – 2.00pm Tuesday to Sunday lunch, we are popular with senior citizens and the local community so booking is always useful.
In the evening we open from 6.00 – 9.00pm Monday to Saturday, the bar also can hold up to 36 diners. During the colder months we light a roaring open fire and this is popular with walking groups. cyclists and of course the locals.
